I understand where this is coming from. The statement acknowledges all of the things that money CAN do, as in material possessions--and let's face it, if you have to worry about where your next meal is coming from or if you have a place to live, can you be TRULY happy? That is where money can buy you happiness and, to an extent, peace of mind. However, money CANNOT PREVENT any of the bad things in life, such as loneliness, sadness, etc. I DO see an awful lot of truth in this statement--however, it took me a bit of thinking to see it.
