I ordered a new bed for our cat. It was delivered today.
After spitting on it, she went here to sleep:

Reminds me of little kids who wind up playing with the box an expensive toy came in!
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY!!!! However, I put her in the cubby early this evening and she is STILL in it, many hours later! I'm thinking she might like it. {fingers crossed}
ReplyDeleteMaybe she'll like it as a hidey-hole but still want to be in the center of things. At least you'll be able to sit in the chair a little more often!
ReplyDeleteSo far, I've been putting her near the entrance at least once a day and she has gone in to sleep. I'm not sure if she's gone all under her own steam, though. I don't really mind her sleeping on the furniture except for the having to clean up the fur before I can sit down--THAT gets a little old pretty fast. ;) I'm hoping she will make this 'her space.' I can always hope... :D
ReplyDeleteHA!!
ReplyDeleteNever, have I known a cat to take to new bedding! Very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteUPDATE: The cat sleeps in her new 'house,' but only when I place her in front of the opening and give her a little push. She will sleep in there for hours, but I don't believe she has gone in there on her own. And she STILL sleeps on the couch, recliner, middle of the living room floor--in other words, nothing has changed except she now has another place to sleep when she wants. The fact that she is a cat--I agree, leazwell--and the fact that she is 18 makes it very difficult to change her habits. Oh, well, it is my duty in life to cater to her comfort, and I'm doing just that. :D
