UPDATE:
I went to see the baby-her name is Faith--and she is doing well. I also got quite a few pictures of her, so here goes.
Here is her area in the NICU--and the best picture I took. Of course, you can't actually SEE her...
The lighting is subdued in the NICU, and every bit of light is reflected in the plastic of the isolette, so that is why the pics are the way they are.
And she finally opened her eyes for me.
The nurse said she probably would be here for two weeks or more--but that is subject to change every day.
Im so happy they are BOTH doing okay! xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxox
ReplyDeleteYeah, I got to talk to The Oldest and she is doing fine, considering. Of course, she is sore, but that is to be expected. Looks as if she might get out of the hospital on Friday, but that is still to be determined.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your well-wishes! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Awwwwww. OMG!! She's sooo tiny! I am wishing Faith a fast release!
ReplyDeleteThey figure she will be in the hospital for 1-4 weeks. Of course, this depends on how well she is doing, but right now everything is going great.
ReplyDeletecongratulations to all!
ReplyDeleteThank you, kristi! As this is the seventh g-child--and the fourth in the NICU--I feel a little less underwhelmed than most people think I would. ;) I'm waiting for The Oldest to get here--probably tomorrow--so that the baby will have someone there more than I can be. I go there to see her, but feel quite lost. All I do is stand and stare at her, cause I don't feel comfortable holding a baby with all sorts of wires and tubes coming off/out of them. At least The Oldest has had to deal with this on a steady basis much, much more than I have had to. Thankfully, all is going well and she should be here the minimal amount of time needed.
ReplyDeleteGlad both mother and child are doing well! What a precious little thing. I'll keep her in my thoughts. Looking forward to more photos!
