Detroit 5-Pittsburgh 0

Tonight was an absolutely HUGE win for Detroit. This now means they have two chances to win one more game for the Stanley Cup 2009. Having Datsyuk back in the lineup was, I believe, the difference maker tonight. The Wings chased the Pittsburgh goalie out of the game in the second period and never looked back. They played hard, kept the 'skate to the throat,' and didn't let up at all. The frustration of the Pittsburgh players was kind of fun, except for the fact that some of the Wings could have been hurt badly because of it. I will stop there--I don't want to be a poor winner.

This game has given me back some hope. They now don't have to play again until Tuesday, so they will get some much needed rest--and some time to heal their broken and bruised bodies. (Good grief, but it got warm in here all of a sudden--there are definitely some nice bodies on the Wings' roster.) GO WINGS!!!!!!!

(Baby Boy played crazy good tonight and got his third goal of the play-offs!!!!!!)

  2. I still can't believe how unbelievably well they played. And Pittsburgh's players just completely melted down--hopefully, they won't feel any better on Tuesday!

I can imagine how hard it is for you to write GO WINGS. I would just about have to puke if I had to write GO DUCKS. And I just might have to do so if they ever meet Pittsburgh in a future Final.

  5. RT: Actually, I don't really mind the Flyers. But then, I don't get to see most of the East teams, so I save my hate for the West teams, like Anaheim, Dallas, Colorado....... ;)

I'm still having a bit of a funk going on in my life. To be expected, I guess. But, it REALLY is affecting me to see my best friend ...
