Another Wedding Pic

Here is one more pic of the happy couple right after the ceremony. I thought it was rather nice. :)

  1. That's not in the shrunken chapel is it?

If it is it's got to be some sort of Wonka-esque trick or some optical illusion...

Nice filter job on the photo though!

  2. What a precious photo!
I wish I knew more about 'puter stuff. Although you do a great job of explaining yourself, I sometimes still get lost in the lingo. Did you get your laptop for on the go stuff? I'm wondering because I haven't decided to get a desk 'puter or laptop when I move...

  3. RT: Yes, that is in the mini chapel--that's why I didn't even bother taking any pics of inside of the place. There definitely is some kind of weird optical illusion going on. And because of that, my daughter and I had NO IDEA how tiny the place was before we got there. We were surprised. :) And thank you for thinking I actually PLANNED for the picture to look like it does--but, no, that is a nice accident. I WISH I was better at taking photos, but I just point and shoot and let my (decidedly very good) camera do the rest.

cantellya: Probably the main reason I got the laptop was because I'm a geek. :) I want ALL of the gadgets I can get. I love the mobility of the laptop, though--I am not banned to our computer room/office anymore. As to whether to get a laptop OR a desktop, I would say to figure it out this way:
--how much can you spend? You get MUCH MORE bang for the buck when you buy a desktop. But if you get a laptop, pay as much as you can and get the best one you can afford. Get the biggest hard drive, best video, best sound, most memory, etc. It will all help in its performance and help you keep it for longer. (But, then, the same holds true for a desktop computer.)
--what are you going to do with the thing? Desktops are more powerful--usually. :) If you want to do video editing or big-time photo editing, a desktop would probably be better.
--desktops can be upgraded easier. If you want to keep your machine for awhile and plan to get more memory, bigger hard drive, better video card, etc., it would be easier to do on a desktop.
--do you want the mobility of a laptop? But, then, if you want to move around your house with it, you need to set it up wirelessly. You CAN surf the web with a laptop and be wired, but then you will need one LONG cable to reach all around your place--if you want to move around.

Those are some of the things to consider. At this point, I don't think I would have a laptop instead of a desktop. While I COULD get one that would do what I wanted, the laptop would cost THOUSANDS more than a similar desktop would--and probably be so heavy that you wouldn't be moving it around as much as you might want. Hope this helped a little. If I can help some more, don't hesitate to ask!

  5. You answered all my questions! I probably spend most of my time at my desk, so, I think I'll go ahead & get a new desktop. Thanks much!

Being In a Funk

I'm still having a bit of a funk going on in my life. To be expected, I guess. But, it REALLY is affecting me to see my best friend ...
