OMG!!!!!
I read the obituaries in the local newspaper from where I grew up. Today they have the obit of a 25 year old man. Very, very sad--there was no cause of death mentioned. What has me going, though, is he has 21 brothers and sisters surviving him. Did you read that? TWENTY-ONE BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!! The mother's uterus must be dragging the ground! I can't wrap my mind around this one.

21 siblings? WOW! So many jokes come to mind or are trying to come to mind but I'll behave. OK, one: His parents must have been undercover agents...they were always under the covers, Ha! Why stop at 21? Ha!

I went to school with a family that had 15 brothers and sisters.
dazd: :)
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, where I grew up, this is only SLIGHTLY unusual. The amount of families with 12 or more kids in them is almost common place there. This all has to do with their sect of Lutheranism--is that even a WORD? Anyway, they believe in NO birth control at all--I'm not even sure they believe in the rhythm method. Their belief is: God will determine how many kids they can handle and He will not give them any more than they can deal with. I applaud a strong faith, but I also think we were given brains for a reason--just MY humble opinion!
