Tomas Holmstrom--along with the Eurotwins (Zetterberg and Datsyuk)--helped the Wings to a 5-1 win over Phoenix. It really was great to see the Wings play as well as they did--after all, this was the last game of their longest road trip for the year. Holmstrom got his second hat trick of his NHL career--always an exciting thing.
On Saturday we get to see Detroit against Chicago--always a thrill to watch two of the original six play.

I think this may be one of the best descriptions of love/marriage I have ever seen. Funny, but true! :D
I'm not much of a hockey fan... but that's MY PROBLEM (among several). Glad your team is doing well though!
ReplyDeleteI am SUCH a hockey snob that I have to stop myself from wondering: 'WHAT is wrong with people who don't like this wonderful sport?' :D (MY problem is that I really don't like any other sport--and absolutely LOATH football! Oh, well. :)) Different strokes, hey?
ReplyDeleteI love hockey, if I watch it in person.. Tulsa has a team (Oilers), but I think they are fairly local. I used to love to go see them play, but it's been a long time.. :(
ReplyDeleteI believe it is on the 28th that NBC will be showing some games on national TV. I know the Wings will play at 3:30ET, but don't know if that will be a regional broadcast. However, they will be playing Colorado, sooooo... Even though the rivalry and bad blood isn't as bad as it was between the two teams several years ago, they still play good games. Can be 'tense' at times. Hee, hee!
